Down below is a copy of a BLOG posted up on Neal Schon's page. It is called "ROCK HARD" posted up on Feb. 28th 2009.

When you read the entire blog, you realize it is entirely one sided and not the COMPLETE interview. Anyhow, this blog title is pretty sarcastic in nature once you read the title of the actual interview and read the context.

Seems to me the posting of this blog was an act of battle against Steve Perry and to all the fans that express their support and concern for Steve Perry which I did share with Neal, Jonathan and the Journey Myspace this blog is supposedly the ticket to having the last word or a bitter defense mechanism?

Seriously, Neal needs to let the fence of control down. Steve Perry has valid reasons for disposition. Neal is way too absorbed with wanting to be in the spotlight and fame....this is what it is always about....and I think deep down inside, he hates Steve Perry for having had the spotlight during the successful years of Journey. It's like Neal wants to discredit or misrepresent Steve Perry at any chance he gets to make everyone dislike him and blame him for not remaining with the band. But we know truthfully that Neal never accepted Steve Perry in the band and out came all kinds of behaviors and mentalities. This competitive game never stops.

Neal should understand that the lead frontman in any band always gets the fame. Look at all the other music bands in history for goodness sakes! and Neal Schon talks about growing up after time??? Does anyone notice that the main Journey website, Neal Schon's photo is first when they display the lineup of the band? His name is always displayed first for the line up (as of today it still remains)....typically the lead frontman is always first. I for one have never seen this kind of display. Wow, like Neal doesn't know the evil empire he is brewing behind the scenes with Jonathan Cain? Give me a break.
Anyhow, here is his blog down below:

JOURNEY Guitarist NEAL SCHON - "I Have Tried To Talk To STEVE PERRY Numerous Times; You'd Think That After A While, Everybody Would GrowUp"

Posted on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 06:16:39 EST

Following up his interviewwith ex-JOURNEY vocalist Steve Perry, Alex Pappademas recently spokewith guitarist Neal Schon for GQ to hear his side of the split betweenPerry and the band. Following is an excerpt from the interview:

Q: You went on to make a string of hit records with Steve. Youbecame one of the biggest bands in the world. And then you went onhiatus. What was the deal with that? Did you get burned out? Schon: "Well, of course, everybody gets burned, but I was like amachine out there. I loved touring. So I was ready to go, go, go, and Ithink pretty much everybody else in the band was. [After the Raised onRadio tour] Steve Perry just came up and said, 'Look, I'm burnt, I'mtoast, I need to take a rest.' And so in the middle of a tour, he justpulled out. I believe we were in Hawaii. We hadn't finished the secondleg of the tour. And so everybody packed their stuff, went home, andI'm hearing that we're gonna be off for maybe a couple months, threemonths, six months, whatever—but it turned out to be close to eight toten years."

Q: Did you feel like Journey had run its course?Schon: "No—I didn't think Journey was done. We actually never evenquit. It wasn't like we called each other and went, 'Okay, this ishistory, nice knowin' ya.' It was just sort of left at a hiatus. And itwas all based around Steve giving us a call and saying 'Okay, I'm finenow, I'm ready to go.' And it just didn't happen."

Q: Was that frustrating for you, that he sort of pulled out like that?Schon: "Well, yeah. You work on something for so many years, andyou attain what you attain, which was an amazing feat, and then it'ssort of like the rug is pulled out from under you."

Q: You and Steve don't talk, right? Is it safe to say that there's not communication between you anymore?Schon: "I have tried to talk to him, numerous times. And he willnot allow me to have his number. Everything has to go through lawyersand management. And that is sort of a drag. You'd think that after awhile, everybody would grow up and be able to talk, one on one. But itjust hasn't happened. So, because of his wishes, that's the way thingsgo down."

Are we surprised by this? His performances are bad not just at the Super Bowl but even the Journey tour concerts!!!

Anyhow, this is so tacky altogther, that it's sad...what a degrading time in history for Journey. It's equivalent to a prank gone bad:

Well, here's my response from "Dan", supposedly acting as if the band does not deal with their myspace pages. Anyway, about 1.5 months later. I received this email in my myspace. Neal Schon's "Dan" is in red and my original email to him is down below is in blue:

Date: Mar 1, 2009 12:18 AM
Subject: RE: Journey BANNED fan member

Sorry for the late response. My name is Dan, I run this MySpace page, as far as other pages and the official website goes, it is run by Journey's management, webmasters, moderators, etc. and not by the band itself. Almost all information the band gets from their fans goes through management. The music industry is a business. "The Band" itself isn't banning you, so I believe it to be unfair to blame the band, but you should solely consult Azoff Management of your complaint. Thanks, Dan

neal,i find it rude for Journey to ban me. i have a right to my contructive thoughts & criticism. banning me is pretty outrageous on Journey's part. Journey is so hateful...i know this becuase they are even not approving my sister's comment which was wishing STEVE PERRY a happy birthday. so for the record, i am being SINGLED OUT.

u think all of us old fans don't care about what happened about the band breakup? yeah right, like we are mechanical fans....we do more than just buy the albums u know.i was a young girl about 9 yrs old when i listened to all the music, recorded all the videos, the FRONTIERS days was my favorite...i watched the interviews & when u guys hosted night tracks...i was a journey fans until the breakup.......dont' tell me it wasn't was for us too....we're huaman too and yeah i do have opinions about it. till this day, i know u have a sword in ur heart for Steve perry.

what u guys did was wrong. I have a right to my opinion. how dare JOUNREY ban me. I'm not surprised these days. So WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT THIS??????????? I'D LIKE TO SEE JUST HOW YOU GUYS WILL TAKE CARE OF A FAN...........we're watching & waiting...

Well, I had emailed Jonathan Cain because I feel that I was treated poorly by being banned. They have shunned me out. This is not how a fan should be treated. I am entitled to my deepest thoughts, opinions and emotions. Here is the response I received from Jonathan Cain which he is acting as if "AAO" music operates his own offical myspace......I know he checks his own email without a doubt. HIS response is in BLUE and my original email to him is below this:

Subject: RE: Why did you guys BAN me from Journey?????

Dear Susan,This page is maintained by the record label Jonathan records with. Please note that we have no control over the Journey page.

If you have any questions regarding Jonathan's solo project we will be more than happy to help you.

Thank you.

hi Jonthan,Wow i'm sruprised the stance Jounrney is taking. You all BANNED me from the offical Journey myspace. I have been a Journey fan since I was a young girl around 8 yrs old. We had all albums & taped all the old videos (when the VCR was the thing). I loved the FRONTIERS days.

do u all just want the old journey fans to just fade out?we're not mechanical, we have thoughts & emotions just like u all. we grew up with u all & don't tell me that the band break up DID NOT affect alot of us. it still does. you know why?because the problem is still there. have u guys become an anti-steve perry band???

Is that where the mind & heart lies for u as individuals & as a group? are the decisions Journey making from the small ones to the big ones somehow a way to screw over SP? Neal really has a hateful heart towards steve perry and he has been allowed to make these ill hearted decisions since Steve's medical condition.

As a fan, I have a right to my opinions & all i did was display my contructive criticism & thoughts on that page. i never did spam because it is controlled. just because you all disagree doesn't mean i should be banned. also, they didn't approve my sister's comment which was about wishing Steve Perry a happy birthday. Journey has it in for ME and this is so do that to a fan is completely outrageous.

How dare you guys treat Journey fans this way.

Well, the hatred against old Journey fans continues to go on........

My sister had posted a comment to the offical Journey myspace page. She was wishing Steve Perry a happy birthday & stating that we love & honor him. Well guesss what? they refused to approve it. They approved others but I noticed others that posted later than her were on there.

Journey really has it in for me. I know this for sure because I voice out my distaste for Arnel Pineda and my deepest concerns for STEVE PERRY and I have questioned Neal Schon about how I feel. You are ONLY allowed to leave "I love you" and "I worship you" comments on their pages. They don't want us fans having any thoughts or opinions. We're supposed to be mechanical and just make sure we buy & support their music for capital gain. They don't care how we feel about their old Journey days even though they still try to stroke our hearts with those OLD SONGS. We old fans know those days consisited of alot of emotions surrounding the band's breakup.

I have a myspace account and I have the Official Journey myspace as my first friend on my friend list. I was a big fan of Journey ever since I was a young girl....I never had the chance of meeting the guys because I was young.

I was so happy to be "rekindled" with Journey on myspace because it brought back memories of Steve Perry, Jonathan Cain, Neal Schon, Ross Valory and Steve Smith. I loved all the #1 songs they wrote for all of us and their performances...which I got to see on t.v. and video. I remember the FRONTIERS days....oh god, those that remember those days are forever touched.

Well, the Journey Myspace has controlled approval for comments. I shared my distaste for Arnel's voice and shared my constructive criticism and I also expressed my love for Journey and the # 1 songs. I expressed concerns for Steve Perry and that is what got me REMOVED from their myspace. I got home this evening and checked it about 10 mins. ago...........I had put them as the FIRST on my top friends list...that is how much I cherished Journey when I was a young girl.

Yes, so this last comment I left on their page partially stated "why was there uneccessary pressure on Steve Perry during his medical condition...was there no compassion or respect?" I never used disgusting profanity or out of control beahvior....again, I shared constuctive criticism and my feelings about how I feel Neal Schon should apologize to Steve Perry. Due to the fact that I am expressed DISTASTE for Arnel Pineda and CONCERN for STEVE PERRY and stated Neal Schon should apologize...they ABRUPTLY REMOVED AND DELETED ME. This is so rude. I have been a fans since I was young....there are plenty of fans that are bothered by what happened to the Journey breakup and what hasn't happened. Of course, alot of us are emotional about Steve Perry's absence and those who have been following the stories, know that the feud is deeply between Neal Schon and Steve Perry. We have every right to express or thoughts as fans. I find their disposition rather communistic....Journey is now the gates of hell.

Journey is not what they used to be. There was integirty when Steve Perry was there BUT without is full of CONTROL and HEARTLESSNESS. IT'S NO WONDER STEVE PERRY HAD TO LEAVE.

For all the fans of the real Journey/Steve Perry, know without a fact, that Neal Schon has taken the mantle countless times to move on with Journey without Steve Perry....because afterall, the very making of Journey started before Steve Perry and can go on after Steve Perry.......

Well then, why is it so important for Neal to keep selecting these singers that can do a Perry pull-off or at least try to? I mean, if he completely wants to start ANEW as he states in his interviews....then why give Journey a complete makeover?
The reason is because he knows the old Journey fans want Steve Perry back. So if Neal listened to the fans, then either:
1.) he would have put Journey on hold until Steve Perry came back or

2.) Find a complete different vocal sound for Journey.

But instead, he is still buidling Journey on the old I find this rather backstabbing in nature to Steve Perry, to the band and definitely to the old Journey fans and deceiving to the new fans.
Also, let's look at this logically, the OFFICIAL MYSPACE JOURNEY PAGE is covered with album covers of Steve Perry with the band NOT Arnel this tactic is supposedly to keep us old Journey fans on the sidelines and hoot and haller for them.
Then you have the completely new jourmey fans (mostly younger in age) who have no idea who Steve Perry they come to Journey official myspace page and wonder "That's not Arnel Pineda, who is that???"....then they come time find out after searching on YOUTUBE and see that Steve Perry is the guy on their offical myspace page and that he is the REAL voice of Journey. They come to realize that Arnel is just a karoke stroker wannabe rock star trying to do a Perry pull-off. I have never seen this kind of bogus marketing done in rock or music history. CHEESY SLY marketing folks!

Look at how Journey plays on the OLD songs with the days of Steve Perry and completely leaves his photos up with the band on their official myspace page as if the band never broke apart! I find it funny how they do not immediately post up Pineda photos yet....he is nowhere on the front page. Now whay is that???

Quite interesting..........

The first order of pissing us off was Neal recruiting die hard karoke stroker wannabe rockstar Arnel Pineda so that he can jump around on stage like it's his fame and "sing" as if it is a talent show....but he continues to strain his voice in order to project the "Perry pull-off" sounds horrible.

Journey does not want to lose their old fans (which is ALOT) in order to not piss us off completely again....they are strategically playing marketing mind games with us all. They are trying to keep their old fans while pulling in the new young fans with this Pineda junk.....

Journey is on a road to fading out without havinglived their TRUE legacy. The guys have allowed Neal Schon to once again shatter Journey.

It has been confirmed that Neal Schon is a recovering alcoholic and is still on that why would the other guys allow someone like this to make important decisions for Journey??? I'm not saying Neal is a bad person.....I feel that what Neal is going thru is so profound that he should do himself a favor and just focus on that moreso than anything else....I mean, he is almost 60 years old and dealing with this..........I think those around him have been enablers because they never stepped their foot down on Neal and now look where he is at and now look where Journey is at.......

Have you ever needed to save face in situations in your life?
We all have done this one time or another.

Arnel Pineda claimed he was a victim of RACIAL DISCRIMINTION by Journey fans....particularly the fans of the AUTHENTIC Journey. I find his claim to be simply a poor EXCUSE for his lack of voice skills and successful performance on stage. He himself knows undoubtedly that he is nothing more than a die hard karoke singer.

One does not need to be a professional voice instructor or singer to observe Arnel's terrible voice. Perhaps he can use some instruction from from Clay Aiken?

So Arnel Pineda uses the race card just to maintain his career with Journey so that he can suck all the money he can, live out the excitement on THEIR fame and Steve Perry's fame and then when all his needs are just about met, he will go back to the Philippines.

I find it very rude, in appropriate and pure bullshit that he would blame the fans and not himself for his lack of voice skills and talent. I'm offended that Journey would allow someone like this in the band.

How dare he blame the fans....Steve Perry NEVER blamed us fans. He was always on our side.
check out what he was quoted to have said in a filipino newspaper:
Meanwhile, the singer is very happy that the members of the band have quickly accepted him. He took pride in saying that his Filipino values—like being hospitable, warm, and sensitive—won them over. “Madali nila akong natanggap. Ako ‘yung hindi makapaniwala na madali nila akong natanggap.(The band members accepted me easily, I was the one that couldn't believe that they accepted me so easily.) So it’s all about me,” he said laughing.
Being hospitable, warm and sensitive is a human thing NOT a filipino thing. Get it straight arnel, you are prideful and a racist....and again are blaming others when in fact the fault is within yourself.
We all should boycott Journey until they remove Arnel Pineda and bring Steve Perry back to rejoin the guys.
